Re: MI-03 State of the Race Memo

As election season picks up across the country, we wanted to keep you looped into the state of the race and West Michigan’s key position in helping us flip the House this November.

* National Republicans have named this seat a top target, meaning they will be attacking Hillary every chance they get in an attempt to flip this seat.

* Trump won the Republican nomination in Michigan last month, putting him one step closer to becoming the Republican nominee. In a swing state like ours, what happens here will shape the November elections.

* Hillary Scholten is the first woman to represent this district and the first Democrat in 50 years to hold this seat. Getting here wasn’t easy. It took strong grassroots support to make it happen. This year will be no different.

In order to hold this seat, flip the House, and fight back against Republican extremists, we have to keep up our momentum. Will you join our grassroots team by making a contribution today?
