NEW: ADL Launches ATLAS Tool to Show Global Patterns of Antisemitism

[link removed]
ADL’s new ATLAS (Antisemitism Trends, Learning and Statistics) tool provides global antisemitism information and analysis. The data includes antisemitic incidents, antisemitic attitudes, information about government commitments and a variety of reports — all providing a comprehensive picture of the state of antisemitism worldwide.

The first step in fighting antisemitism is having accurate and up-to-date data. By understanding the scope of antisemitism by integrating all sorts of data points, ADL can better advocate for targeted interventions.

“At a time when antisemitism is an urgent problem around the globe, the ATLAS will be a pivotal tool in understanding where hot spots are and how governments are responding,” said Jonathan Greenblatt, ADL CEO. “ADL is proud to lead this effort along with many global partners — we are a stronger force together in fighting antisemitism.”

ADL and other members of the J7 meet with U.N. Secretary General António Guterres.

Meeting with the U.N. Secretary General: ADL and our partners in the J7 (the Large Jewish Communities’ Task Force Against Antisemitism) had a frank and productive meeting with United Nations Secretary General António Guterres to raise concerns about the sharp rise in global antisemitism since Oct. 7, the plight of the hostages, the U.N.’s inadequate approach to Israel in the aftermath of the Oct. 7 massacre, and the U.N.’s flawed response to Hamas’ horrifying sexual violence against Israeli women. The delegates also raised the need for the U.N. to address the systemic failures of UNRWA and called on the Secretary General to consider alternative options to meet
humanitarian needs in Gaza.

White Supremacist Tracked by ADL is Arrested in Missouri: Earlier this month, authorities arrested a Missouri resident on two felony charges related to property damage motivated by discrimination, one grounded in religion and the other in race. In 2023, the ADL Center on Extremism (COE) uncovered the identity of 20-year-old Frankie Rizzello, a white supremacist and the administrator of the Telegram channel “NS Hooligans.” Rizzello used the Telegram channel to claim responsibility for and celebrate a variety of white supremacist and antisemitic vandalism incidents in the St. Louis area. COE shared this information with law enforcement. St. Louis Prosecuting Attorney Wesley Bell
called ADL’s information “essential” in bringing the charges.

Questions for Jewish Students to Ask When Considering a College: To address the rise of antisemitism on campus, we are rolling out tools to help students and their families look at their options.
[link removed]
Here are suggested questions that you can ask schools about their policies, as well as questions for students and Jewish life professionals about Jewish life on campus. Later this spring, we will also be publishing a Campus Report Card, assessing the state of antisemitism on campuses across the country and how they are addressing it.

Urge the Senate to Pass the Protecting Students on Campus Act. A plurality of Jewish college students don’t feel safe on campus. Oftentimes, when college students face antisemitism, they don’t know how to get help. This bipartisan bill, which is part of the overall National Strategy to Counter Antisemitism, requires universities to provide resources for students to report potential civil rights violations and get the support they need.

@ADL

As millions begin using AI platforms like @MSFTCopilot, it’s deeply troubling to find flaws that allow #antisemitic stereotypes to be generated. As with the development of any new tech, @Microsoft and other developers must ensure they do not enable hate.

It’s truly disheartening to see someone minimize the Holocaust literally as they are accepting an award for a film they made... about the Holocaust. Glazer talks about understanding where dehumanization can lead, yet is blind to the fact that it’s Hamas’ dehumanization of Jews & Israelis that led to the current war. Let me be clear: Israel is not hijacking anyone’s Jewishness. It’s defending every Jew’s right to exist.
