Through the eyes of Sierra Leonean filmmaker Arthur Pratt, the documentary Survivors presents an unforgettable portrait of his country during the 2014 Ebola outbreak, highlighting the importance of community solidarity and the dangers of misinformation and mistrust.

In this week’s playlist, Pratt and co-director Banker White share hard-earned knowledge learned through the making of Survivors, and we provide resources for kickstarting conversations at home and in the classroom around what we can learn from communities, faith leaders, medical workers, and artists from Sierra Leone.
