Help DES develop the security guard services statewide contract
DES is starting solicitation 00624 for security guard services to succeed statewide contract 03818 [ [link removed] ], which expires Dec. 31.
This solicitation is for unarmed, armed, and rapid response security guard services.
We are looking for purchasers and subject-matter experts to help us develop this contract. If you are interested, join our kickoff meeting [ [link removed] ] at 2 p.m. on March 19. Attendees will learn more about the solicitation process, time commitment and responsibilities.

DES has a new statewide contract 22222 for environmental consulting services. This contract features nine Washington state small businesses.

New cooperative contract available for relocatable building solutions
DES has a new cooperative contract 01124 in partnership with Sourcewell for relocatable building solutions, effective March 1.
The contract includes the lease, rental, and purchase of:
* Non-custom engineered metal, wood, and steel-framed building system.
* Metal joist and decking systems.
* Walk doors/windows, roof curbs, skylights, and insulation panels for said systems.

Contract changes
Contractors added to computer equipment, related peripherals, services contract
DES added Microsoft, Apple, and NetApp to contract 05820 for computer equipment, related peripherals and services, effective March 1.
* Microsoft is available for Band 1: personal computer devices - Windows operating systems.
* Apple is available for Band 2: personal computer devices - non-Windows operating systems.
* NetApp is available for Band 3: servers and storage.
We plan to add contractors including IBM, Lenovo US and Acer when negotiations are complete.

Parking equipment contract will expire in May
Contract 04417 for parking hardware, software and maintenance will expire May 7. DES is not renewing the contract.

DES seeks feedback about awarding a vendor on contract 29123 for pharmaceutical wholesale distribution. This is a cooperative contract in partnership with MMCAP Infuse. Small, veteran, diverse business spotlight: Doors, frames, hardware contract
DES is highlighting the availability of small businesses on statewide contracts, including those owned by veterans (DVA certified), women and minorities (OMWBE certified).
Statewide contract 05416 for doors, frames, and hardware features:
* 3 small businesses
* 2 OMWBE-certified businesses
* 1 certified veteran-owned businesses
This contract is for the purchase of doors (currently vacated), frames, door hardware, locks, and replacement parts. Contractors can also optionally offer installation, consulting, training, and locksmith/repairs. It is divided into two regions: Eastern and Western Washington.

The enterprise supplier diversity procurement policy requires state agencies to give small, diverse and veteran-owned businesses equitable access to state contracts and to create durable change in state spending with these businesses.

DES is holding the first annual Washington Procurement Connect in Fall 2024. This year?s theme is *Strengthening Your Business*.
