When Country First was initially launched, its cornerstone objective was to dismantle Donald Trump’s stranglehold on the Republican Party. Unfortunately, three years on, the majority of Republicans have shown little interest in loosening that grip, and now Donald Trump has secured the Republican nomination for President.
However, this is not a moment for our movement to dwell in despair. Rather, it's a catalyst to redouble our commitment to democracy and the crucial task of defeating Donald Trump in the upcoming November election.

As you know, Country First is dedicated to numerous pro-democracy initiatives that will strengthen our democracy. But right now, the biggest threat to our democracy is another Trump Presidency.
Our pivotal mission for 2024 is the defeat of Donald Trump, ensuring he never re-enters the Oval Office and retiring him from public office for good . Democracy itself hangs in the balance, with stakes that have never been higher. This monumental challenge has only fortified my resolve.
This mission, I realize, is not a solitary pursuit. You and I, and every member of Country First, are united in this endeavor, and it is together that we will secure victory . Our collective efforts will thwart Trump's ambitions and safeguard our democracy. In doing so, we pave the way for a brighter, more hopeful tomorrow for everyone.

Where are you from?
I live in Del Mar, CA – basically, northern coastal San Diego County.
What has been your focus at Country First?
I’ve been focused on communications/media, as that has been my area of professional expertise.
What was your motivation for joining and how did you hear about us?
Like many of us, I am very concerned with preserving our democracy and want to apply my skill set toward contributing to this cause. I became aware of Adam Kinzinger when he began to speak out following the 2020 election and very much admired him for taking the initiative to step forward and speak the truth. It was after hearing Adam as a podcast guest that I was prompted to reach out to Country First and get involved.
What are your hopes for America in the coming years and generations?
First, I hope that we can work together to defeat Trump in 2024 so that we can preserve our potential for a democratic future. Beyond that, I would like to see our citizens become more educated about the dangers of authoritarianism. Recently, I have been learning more about the 1930s American fascist movement and its support for Hitler, which is frankly horrifying. We should all be more aware of this history and how it speaks to our current moment, particularly the need to guard and unite against the actions of nefarious foreign actors.
Do you think we can right the ship?
Yes, I do believe that or I would not be engaged in this organization
