John,
We’re fighting for a budget that leaves no one behind. But the most extreme Republicans continue to attack critical funding for programs such as Head Start, child care, college aid, and more. They are trying to sabotage a bipartisan agreement, threatening a government shutdown over demands for cuts and unacceptable policy riders that don’t belong in a funding bill.
With only 8 days until funding runs out for education, mental health, substance use, energy assistance, and more, we’re fighting to demand Congress keep their agreement and not cut funding for vulnerable communities.
In his brand new 2025 budget, President Biden has demonstrated how we can afford investments in working and vulnerable communities when the rich and corporations pay their fair share.
Rush a donation today to fight back against right-wing austerity funding levels and demand investments in low-income communities, communities of color, families with children, seniors, people with disabilities, and all vulnerable communities.

President Biden’s budget runs in stark contrast to extremist attempts to take us backwards. The president would raise $5.3 TRILLION in revenue over 10 years by increasing taxes on the rich and large profitable corporations. He’d do this by raising the corporate tax rate, creating a 25% minimum tax on households worth more than $100 million, ending tax breaks for excessive CEO pay, closing loopholes that encourage corporations to ship jobs and profits offshore, and more.
And, with this new tax revenue, the President would expand the Child Tax Credit to dramatically reduce child poverty, provide free pre-K for 2 million kids, extend health coverage for millions of poor people living in states that have not expanded their Medicaid programs, implement a 12 week paid family and medical leave program, create free community college across the country, and much, much more.
All told, the President’s budget would invest $2.3 trillion to support and expand critical programs and services while using the nearly $3 trillion remaining to lower the national debt.
Those are the types of investments in our future that we’re fighting for!
While Republicans use the national debt as an excuse to deny low-income families critical services, we know that we can reduce our debt and invest in vulnerable communities―and in our future―when the rich and big corporations pay their fair share.
