** Important Update for all San Diego County Republicans
------------------------------------------------------------

Jack, as we go through an unprecedented challenge in our country I wanted to take a moment to give you some quick, short updates:

April 13 Full Meeting Cancelled
This is the large, 1000+ attendee-type meetings that we normally hold at the Town & Country Hotel in Mission Valley every even-numbered month.

May 11 Caucus Meeting and June 8 Full Meeting Likely not Happening
We will continue to monitor developments but most likely these two meetings won't happen either.

California Republican Party Convention May 1-3 Cancelled
The CRP board of directors voted over the weekend. You can read their announcement here ([link removed]) .

2020 Lincoln Reagan Dinner on Saturday, June 13 is Currently Still On
We would love to be able to pull this off as a show of "We're back!" but will monitor developments. If need be, we'll hold the Dinner in September.

The Republican National Convention in Charlotte, NC in August is Still On
We will formally vote President Trump our nominee for president at this convention. Delegates and Alternates should still prepare to go at this time.

Election Results Are In
Prop. 13 (the massive boondoggle) was rightly defeated. As were just about all the bonds locally. And a Lemon Grove tax increase. Maybe voters are finally coming around. Let's hope. Here's a complete list of local election results. ([link removed])

Endorsements
We have a robust endorsement process. Those running for office in November should apply here ([link removed]) . The current list of endorsements can be found here ([link removed]) . (Endorsements will be considered at our August 10 meeting, if not before.)

Party Operations Continue
All of our staff is fully operational, working remotely, and receiving their full salaries. Your Party is financially healthy and will come out stronger from this crisis. Party HQ in Rancho Bernardo is closed for now however.

We Thank Scott Sherman for Stepping Up
Scott Sherman stepped up to run for San Diego Mayor to provide a sane alternative to two radical Democrats. Sadly he did not make the "top two" - by about 1000 votes. Republicans SHOULD NOT SUPPORT EITHER Democrat. There is no "lesser evil" in this case. Let's not own what is coming.

New Incoming Committee Members in January
We congratulate those who won election to the 2021-2024 term as members ([link removed]) to the official Republican Party of San Diego County "central committee" and will take office in January 2021. Win or lose, we will involve all to help this year.

President Trump is Doing a Great Job
We are proud of our President as he provides much needed leadership while under a constant barrage of sniping and second guessing. Please keep him, his family, and all our leaders in your prayers.

Prominent Local Democrats Battling COVID-19
We have learned that several prominent local Democrats, including the Democrat Party Chairman Will Rodriguez-Kennedy has fallen ill with Coronavirus. We wish him and all those affected a full, speedy recovery. ([link removed])

San Diego News Desk Operational
Don't forget to check San Diego News Desk ([link removed]) daily for positive, local news. If you are not getting the daily recaps email of articles you can sign up here ([link removed]) .

Help Us Highlight Good Deeds
We are trying to highlight good deeds by Republicans during this crisis. When you see some please send San Diego News Desk an email (mailto:[email protected]?subject=Republicans%20doing%20good...) with as much info (photos encouraged) as possible and we may write an article about it.

Inspiring Leadership By Republicans
We appreciate the great leadership from Kristin Gaspar, Jim Desmond, Dan McAllister ([link removed]) , June Cutter ([link removed]) , Brian Jones ([link removed]) , Bill Gore ([link removed]) , Kevin Faulconer ([link removed]) , and many more. Keep it up!

In Closing...

Just a note to say Thank You for being part of our local Republican family Jack. We will come through this stronger - like we've overcome challenges in the past. Please follow all the guidance and stay healthy.

Blessings,
Tony Krvaric
