West Virginia lawmakers just rejected the CROWN Act, a bill to ban race-based hair discrimination.
This was one of the major pieces of legislation our grantee, WV Black Voter Impact Initiative, advocated for at the state Capitol during Black Policy Day last month.
While we didn’t get the outcome we hoped for this time, we’re never going to let a setback stop us from fighting for what’s right.
