We need your help to ensure the passage of the Reclaim Renewable Energy Act (HB166)! This critical legislation demands that our state lawmakers prioritize clean air and water for our communities by removing trash incineration from the Maryland Renewable Energy Portfolio Standard.
For decades, the BRESCO trash incinerator has emitted thousands of tons of toxic chemicals and greenhouse gases, exacerbating health issues and climate change in our communities. It's time to stop forcing ratepayers to subsidize energy sources that aren't truly renewable. The deadline for members of the Economic Matters committee to bring this to a vote is Monday, so we are urgently asking for your support to push them and make this happen!
