At a coronavirus briefing yesterday, Trump had the nerve to blame hospitals and health care works for the dire lack of masks and protective equipment.

John,

At a coronavirus briefing yesterday, Trump had the nerve to blame hospitals and health care works for the dire shortage of masks and other protective equipment.

He suggested that nurses are stealing masks as the only way to explain the increase in demand – utterly ignorant of the fact that we are in an unprecedented global pandemic.

Our nurses and health care workers are risking their lives every day to keep others healthy – and yet this president has the nerve to not only ignore their needs, but accuse them of stealing. We won’t allow it.

Nurses across the country are being sent to fight this pandemic without the necessary armor to protect themselves. If this President won’t protect them, it’s up to all of us to keep our nurses safe and support them during this challenging time.

We need your voice right now. Will you sign our urgent petition with National Nurses United to demand that Congress do everything in its power to protect nurses during this crisis?

Protect frontline nurses »

Right now, nurses and health care workers are being asked to cover their faces with bandanas — despite the fact that they will provide almost no effective protection against COVID-19.

The time is NOW to take all precautions to protect nurses and health care workers on the frontlines, before the situation gets even more dire.

That’s why we’re joining National Nurses United — the country’s largest registered nurses' union — to call on Congress to do everything it can to protect our nurses.

More than 90% of registered nurses across the country are women, which means that, without protective equipment, we’re putting women at higher risk of getting infected, and passing that infection to their children, families, friends, and loved ones.

If nurses get sick, they can’t take care of patients. And if they can’t care for their patients, this pandemic will spiral further out of control.

Will you sign our letter to Congress urging them to support H.R. 6139 and ensure stronger protections for frontline nurses?

Thank you for speaking out.
