Yesterday, Becca voted yes on the Protecting Americans from Foreign Adversary Controlled Applications Act. This bill does not ban TikTok, but rather requires its parent company ByteDance to sell TikTok to an American company. Now, the bill heads to the Senate for consideration.
As a mom to two teenagers, Becca has serious concerns about the impact that social media has on our kids. But unlike Meta, X, and other social media companies based in the U.S., TikTok is owned by ByteDance, a Chinese company, which presents serious national security concerns.
We want to know what you think: Do you think the U.S. should force ByteDance to sell TikTok to an American company?
