Precious Life is sending a big THANK YOU to everyone who supported our PROTECT FREE SPEECH Campaign and responded to the Public Consultation to voice their opposition to Belfast Council’s draconian laws to ban our pro-life outreach from the City Centre.

Our Street Outreach has been changing hearts and minds on abortion for 27 years. However, on numerous occasions pro-abortion members of Belfast City Council have openly expressed their hatred of our Street Outreach. They know how effective our work is in saving the lives of babies in danger of abortion. In an attempt to silence us, they conjured up their proposed bye-laws to deal with what they claimed was a “noise nuisance” in the city. But their real aim was to ban us and other Christian outreach from the city centre.

As soon as Belfast Council announced plans for their oppressive bye-laws, we responded immediately by launching our PROTECT FREE SPEECH Campaign to expose their true agenda.

We designed and printed campaign leaflets to expose Belfast Council's plans. We produced guidance for the public on how to respond to the consultation. We maximised our Social Media platforms to get the message out with daily posts encouraging people to respond.

Over the 14 weeks of the campaign, we also distributed tens of thousands of our leaflets across Northern Ireland. And every Saturday at our Street Outreach in Belfast, we also handed out the campaign leaflets to the crowds of shoppers in the City Centre

People were shocked when they heard the truth of what the City Council was planning. The Council’s attack on our free speech was ultimately an attack on our unborn babies.

The public consultation ended on 4th March. We await the Council’s response to the results of the Consultation. But one thing is certain; our PROTECT FREE SPEECH Campaign ensured a clear message was sent out to the Belfast City Council that their oppressive laws are unacceptable, and our right to speak freely in defence of unborn babies must be protected.

We are still trying to cover the costs of our campaign so any financial support is greatly appreciated. Every contribution ([link removed]) , large or small, will enable us to continue this vital work and fight for the right to life of our unborn babies.
