In just a moment, we are going to ask you to make your first online contribution to President Biden's reelection campaign. Please give us a chance to explain why this request -- especially today -- is so important.

Here is the truth:

In just over two weeks, we close the books on the first quarterly FEC deadline of the year.

After this deadline, we're legally required to report how much money we've raised so far in 2024.

Everyone will be watching. The press, the Trump campaign, and critical outside spending organizations ready with potential attack ads against the President.

With Trump now the presumptive Republican nominee, it is more important than ever that we send a message about the strength of our grassroots campaign -- the kind of message that can alter the media coverage of this race and give us some more momentum.

But more important than that, reaching our goals is what we need to do in order to win. The amount we raise in this quarter will determine the scope of investments our campaign will be able to make as we get closer to Election Day.

We already have ads running and our opponents do as well. So we need to consistently hit our numbers or we risk falling behind. And in a race as close as ours, that would be disastrous.

We don't need you to give to every email we send, but a well-timed donation from 943 Philadelphia supporters before this FEC deadline comes to a close would mean a lot.
