I’d like to set the record straight on something.
In the GOP response to President Biden’s State of the Union, Alabama Senator Katie Britt told Americans to “Just ask yourself, are you better off now than you were three years ago?”
OK Katie. Let’s take a trip down memory lane. When Biden came into office, parents were afraid to send their children to school, the economy was a complete mess, people were dying from Covid and Trump was acting like nothing was wrong.
Over the past three years President Biden’s administration passed more legislation to help the American people than any other administration in recent history.
He created 15 million new jobs. He got kids back in classrooms. He got over 270 million Americans the vaccine. We saw historic economic growth, and historic investments in public education. And violent crime has fallen to the lowest level in more than 50 years.
So yes Katie, we are WAY better off than we were three years ago. And shame on you for implying otherwise.
I’m ready to roll up my sleeves on the campaign trail and do everything humanly possible to re-elect President Biden. But right now we’re focused on raising the resources we need to win. We have until midnight tomorrow to reach our mid-March goal. Can you help? [[link removed]]
