powerful, Republican-funded forces were gearing up to take us down, and
now, our fears are 100% becoming a reality.

Earlier this week, Summer’s opponent released an absurdly deceitful ad
attacking Summer, spreading false information about her. These lies are
dangerous, and without a STRONG response from us, they could sway public
opinion against everything we've worked so hard for.

But it doesn't stop there. Just this morning, we learned that another
attack ad has been released, funded by a PAC bankrolled by none other than
Jeffrey Yass, the richest man in Pennsylvania and the third-largest
Republican political donor in America, who you may know as the Betsy DeVos
of PA focused on attacking teachers unions and defunding our public
schools.

Yass has poured millions into campaigns for Republicans and against
progressives, and now he's targeting Summer. Why? Because Summer stands
against everything he supports: from rigging the tax system and
dismantling public education to eliminating abortion rights and supporting
extreme far-right policies.

This spending by Yass to help our Democratic opponent begs to ask a VERY
important question: Why on earth is the same man who spent $47 MILLION in
2022 to help Republican candidates and committees now funneling resources
into helping Summer’s opponent, who is running as a Democrat?!?!

We cannot understate the gravity of this moment. Summer's dedication to
fighting for equality, justice, and the well-being of every person is
precisely why these attacks are happening. They wouldn't be targeting her
if they didn't fear the power of her voice and the strength of our
movement.
