Trump-associated company paid indicted FBI informant $600,000 the same year he began lying to the FBI about the Biden family
Well, well, well. What do we have here? Educational Transformation Technologies, an American company that paid the recently indicted FBI informant Alexander Smirnov in 2020, is connected to Trump business associates in Dubai, according to business filings and court documents. Smirnov’s bogus accounts to the FBI, beginning in 2020, that federal prosecutors now say are impossible fabrications, served as a major justification of the House impeachment investigation into the Bidens. Sounds like the GOP's investigation needs an investigation. Right? Or is this all just one very big coincidence?

Biden pledges billions to rebuild cities "torn apart" by highways decades ago
Speaking in Milwaukee, President Joe Biden hailed the beginning of $3.3 billion in infrastructure spending on US projects on Wednesday "to right historic wrongs" with efforts to finally reconnect city neighborhoods riven by interstate highways that plowed with particular impunity through many Black, brown, Asian American, and Hispanic communities decades ago. The US Transportation Department estimates that at least a million people and businesses in the US were displaced by decades of harmful urban renewal projects in the buildout of the federal highway system. The $3.3 billion in federal funding is being allocated in more than 40 states to help areas "divided by transportation infrastructure decades ago and [that] have long been overlooked." Ol' Dark Brandon is at it again with his transformational change, folks.

"Make the RNC White Again": GOP ends minority outreach program
Well that didn't take long. Shortly after Trump wrested full control of the Republican National Committee reins, the cash-strapped operation announced it was shuttering its successful minority outreach program, part of a larger effort to steer as much money as possible to help cover Donald Trump's astounding legal bills support Donald Trump’s campaign to reclaim the presidency. As one of the sources put it to The Daily Beast, the tagline for the MAGA makeover might as well be "Make the RNC White Again." Sounds about white.

RFK Jr.’s VP prospect Aaron Rodgers is a Sandy Hook "false flag" conspiracy theorist
Behold, the Great Dumbening of America in all its unrestrained and incredibly stupid glory! Ailing NFL quarterback with too much time on his hands and big fan of doing his own research Aaron Rodgers found himself on Robert F. Kennedy's pointless VP shortlist this week, prompting intrepid reporters to share with the public some of the astoundingly ignorant and deeply offensive things the guy who can really throw a ball has said in the past. In one enlightening encounter with CNN journalist Pamela Brown in 2013, Rodgers enthusiastically shared deranged conspiracy theories about the Sandy Hook school shooting not being real and insisted it was actually a government inside job that the media was intentionally ignoring. When Brown questioned him on the evidence to show this very real shooting was somehow staged, Rodgers pointed to absurd and repeatedly debunked theories that were later at the center of lawsuits brought by victims’ families against conspiracy fabulist Alex Jones. Can we please be done with Aaron F*cking Rodgers?
California sheriff releases bodycam video of killing of boy, 15, holding garden hoe
The San Bernardino, California sheriff released new body-camera footage of the fatal police shooting of 15-year-old Ryan Gainer, an autistic child who was having a mental health crisis inside his own home. Sheriff Shannon Dicus repeatedly defended the deputies’ use of lethal force, at one point referencing Gainer’s "large stature" — a ridiculous comment that drew immediate backlash from local civil rights advocates. Audio of 911 calls and partial clips first released on Monday indicated that a relative called police to report Gainer was breaking things in their house and had attacked his sister. At one point, the caller said the 15-year-old child had said he was "going to run away." The first 15-second video released showed one deputy arriving at the home in Apple Valley to find an open front door. A man inside could be heard saying, "He’s got a stick in his hand," prompting the officer to respond, "Get back … you're going to get shot." Footage from another deputy, who was the second to arrive, captured that deputy shooting Gainer from a distance. Gainer appeared to be holding a hula hoe over his head when he was shot multiple times by both deputies. Both deputies shot Gainer less than a minute after arriving, and within roughly seven seconds of him appearing in their view.

More children have died in Gaza War than have been killed by conflict worldwide in 4 years
More children have died in the Palestinian territories over the past five months of war than have been killed in all armed conflicts worldwide over the past four years — a startling statistic that puts the casualties from Israel’s ongoing bombardment in perspective. The current military offensive in Gaza began after Hamas militants launched a deadly attack in southern Israel on Oct. 7 that killed about 1,200 people and took about 250 captive. Hamas released roughly half the hostages during a temporary pause in fighting late last year, and is estimated to still have about 100 captives who are still alive. Since the attack, Israeli forces have launched a massive military offensive on Gaza, displacing most of the territory’s 2.3 million Palestinians, blocking humanitarian aid and killing an estimated 31,000 people. Of that tally, 13,500 were children.
Ron DeSantis is in a feud with Libs of TikTok, in strange and most poetic twist
Meanwhile, in Florida... Failed presidential candidate and man getting to know his old Tallahassee digs again Ron DeSantis has found himself in a lil' spat with none other than Chaya Raichik, the radical right-wing, mindless bloviator behind Libs of TikTok, over who can hate the hardest on undocumented immigrants. Like Thanos, this too was inevitable. When two morons blow this much stupid smoke, there's only so much oxygen in the room to go around.
Musk abruptly cancels "The Don Lemon Show" on X after he sits for the program’s first interview
Wait, Don Lemon had a show on NüTwitter? And the billionaire, "free speech absolutist" tech bozo canceled it after one interview? Because of, um, questions? Let's dig in. "The Don Lemon Show," presented by X — on X — booked none other than...X's Elon Musk as its first guest. During the interview Lemon asked Musk if he believed that he and his social platform held any responsibility to moderate hate speech on X, singling out the spread of the "great replacement theory" — a racist belief that falsely contends that Jews are behind a plot to diminish the influence of white people in the US. Musk, who sat down to answer questions from a reporter — technically his reporter — barked that he didn't have to answer questions from...a reporter, then abruptly canceled the show before the first episode even aired. Real stable stuff from the world's richest man. 🙄
Trump launched CIA covert influence operation against China
Two years into office, Trump authorized the Central Intelligence Agency to launch a clandestine campaign on Chinese social media aimed at turning public opinion in China against its government, according to former US officials with direct knowledge of the highly classified operation. Three former officials told Reuters that the CIA created a small team of operatives who used bogus internet identities to spread negative narratives about Xi Jinping’s government while leaking disparaging intelligence to overseas news outlets. The CIA team promoted allegations that members of the ruling Communist Party were hiding ill-gotten money overseas and slammed as corrupt and wasteful China’s Belt and Road Initiative, which provides financing for infrastructure projects in the developing world. The efforts within China were intended to foment paranoia among top leaders there, forcing its government to expend resources chasing intrusions into Beijing’s tightly controlled internet, two former officials said. “We wanted them chasing ghosts,” one of these former officials said.
