Team,

As you know, access to medication abortion remains under direct threat in the United States due to a lawsuit filed by anti-abortion extremists. They are seeking to revoke the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) approval of mifepristone, one of two drugs used in medication abortion. On March 26, the U.S. Supreme Court will hear oral arguments in this case. Do you agree that access to medication abortion should be available for all?

ADD YOUR NAME

More than two decades ago, the FDA approved mifepristone for abortion care. Since then, it has been used by more than five million women. Mifepristone is safe AND effective, and its availability remains essential to abortion access in the United States, especially after the reversal of Roe v. Wade in 2022.

Ultimately, this radical case could roll back access to medication abortion – even in states where abortion is legal. If the Supreme Court rules for the plaintiffs, that means antiquated and unnecessary restrictions on medication abortion could be reinstated. That would significantly reduce access to mifepristone, which has been essential in meeting the needs of patients now that 14 states have banned abortion entirely.

Our team at the Center for Reproductive Rights is doing everything we can to keep abortion available and accessible to all who need it, no matter the circumstances. But we can’t do it without you. Please, add your name right now and show that you’re with us in this fight.

Add your name if you agree: Access to medication abortion should be available for all.

Thank you for taking action,
Nancy Northup
