Dear Friend,
We shared the news last week: Miami Seaquarium is close to closing its doors for good!
Miami-Dade County Mayor Danielle Levine Cava announced that Miami Seaquarium has a matter of weeks to vacate its county-owned property.
The announcement follows decades of animal deaths and abuse. In its nearly 69-year history, over 115 dolphins and whales have died at Miami Seaquarium (MSQ). An average of nearly two deaths per year.
Thankfully, the cycle of tragic losses and ongoing mistreatment will stop thanks to the pressure you put on MSQ. However, there's still work to be done and that’s why I encourage you to take advantage of our $40,000 March Matching Gift Challenge today.
Through March 31, your generous gift will be matched, dollar-for-dollar, up to $40,000. That means we can double our efforts as we work to do all that we can to ensure the wellbeing of the animals at Miami Seaquarium is a top priority.
