I'll be honest with you, friend: I've run a lot of tough races in my life, but this one is proving to be my toughest yet.

While I've been fighting for workers and families in the Senate, national Republicans have honed in on me as their No. 1 target. Trump's hand-picked candidate held a massive megadonor fundraiser at Mar-a-Lago – and McConnell-aligned super PACs just made their largest ad buy in a battleground race ever to try to defeat me. The truth is, without grassroots support from folks like you, I simply cannot fight back and compete. 

That's why we've set an ambitious $300,000 mid-month fundraising goal, and I'm asking you to help me get there. Will you chip in $5 or more right now so we can win in Ohio and keep the Senate blue?

Listen, friend, I'm in this fight because I believe in the Dignity of Work – all work. Whether you punch a clock or swipe a badge, earn a salary or work for tips, are raising children or caring for an aging parent, I'm fighting for you.

On the other hand, my millionaire GOP opponents would rather push a national abortion ban or tax cuts for their megadonor friends than fight for working families. That's not what Ohioans, or Americans, deserve.
