We are all doing everything we can to take back the Senate in November. But just as important, we need to defend our Democratic majority in the House.
And our path to keeping Democratic control of the House runs right through Illinois. Dick Durbin is supporting Democratic Reps. Sean Casten and Lauren Underwood for re-election, along with Betsy Dirksen Londrigan, a strong candidate who is ready to flip a red district blue this year.
But as we know -- this is an uncertain time, and our Democratic candidates are now off the campaign trail to ensure we all stay safe and healthy in the midst of a global pandemic. That means we need to double down on our online support.

After this month's Illinois primary, each of these candidates are now facing a Republican opponent who will pull out all the stops to defeat them and flip the House to GOP control. We can't let that happen. There is too much on the line for families in Illinois and across the nation.
In the 14th District, Lauren Underwood is being challenged by the same extreme Republican who ran against me in 2014, Jim Oberweis. In the 6th District, Sean Casten is facing Jeanne Ives, who has a history of reckless views, including radical opposition to a woman's right to choose and LGBTQ+ rights. And in the 13th District, Betsy Dirksen Londrigan is taking on a GOP incumbent who has voted in lock step with President Trump's agenda more than 90% of the time.
