I understand that the constant stream of news during times like these can be overwhelming, so I'm going to keep this message brief. 
 
I want Central Floridians to know that help is on the way! This situation has exposed numerous vulnerable points in our system; and while the feeling of hopelessness can seem inevitable, I ask that you do not lose hope. 
 
Please know that I am fighting to protect your health and wellbeing, and to provide well-needed relief for Central Florida’s families, those who lost their job, small businesses, seniors, veterans, farmers and students. In this time of crisis, the American people should be reassured that their government is looking out for them.
 
I'm not backing down from this fight, John. District 9 has gotten through difficult situations before, and we deserve the resources to rebuild this time too.
