Are you looking to become a member of the Arlington Chamber? In addition to our great membership benefits, there is another reason to join now! New members who join the Chamber will receive a free advertising opportunity to give them additional promotion during this challenging time. All new members who join starting today, March 30 though Thursday, April 30 will receive an enhanced business directory listing on the number one searched page on the Chamber's website. This special offer gives businesses top placement on their company’s category page in our business directory* for six months, as well as a sidebar advertisement on the same page for a month. The business directory listing will also include the company’s logo with a link to any webpage of their choice, whether it’s a link to their homepage, a special offer, or promotion.

If you are interested in joining the Chamber or if you have a business you’d like to refer to the Chamber, please contact Senior Director of Membership, Mike Rosenow.

*Top placement on a category page depends on demand. Two directory listings can be placed at the top of the page, but if we receive three or more members within the same time frame, they will be listed in alphabetical order.
The CARES Act: Resources for Businesses
The Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act was signed into law on Friday, March 27. The Chamber advocated for the passing of this stimulus package when we joined with business leaders from around the DMV in a letter to the Congressional delegation for Maryland, the District of Columbia, and Virginia. The package includes more than $350 billion in small business loans/grants and expanded unemployment insurance. This bill is a positive step forward to providing economic relief to individuals and businesses facing hardship due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The following are resources detailing the business-related relief available through the recently-passed CARES Act.

In a press conference, this afternoon, Governor Northam issued a Stay-at-Home Order for the entire Commonwealth of Virginia, effective immediately and running through June 10. The order directs all Virginians to stay at home, except for allowable travel, including to seek medical attention, work, care for family or household members, obtain goods and services like groceries, prescriptions, and others as outlined in last week’s Executive Order Fifty-Three, or to engage outdoor activity complying with social distancing requirements. The order also prohibits all private and public in-person gatherings of more than 10 people.

During these unprecedented times, it’s important that we, as a collective Arlington community, remain informed and prepared. We encourage you to take Arlington Economic Development’s (AED) COVID-19 Business Survey to keep AED apprised of the impacts your business is experiencing. Your responses help AED and its partners provide necessary resources to Arlington’s businesses, and provides AED with essential data to inform County leadership and community stakeholders.
