Dear friends, We did it! I am honored and humbled to win the California’s 7th Congressional District primary! I want to thank the voters of the greater Sacramento region for their ongoing support.

Dear friends,

I am absolutely thrilled to share this incredible news with you – we've done it! I am honored and humbled to have won California’s 7th Congressional District primary!

This is an immense honor, and I feel deeply humbled and profoundly grateful for your unwavering support throughout this journey.

To the wonderful people of our greater Sacramento region, your trust and belief in me mean the world. Serving as your Congresswoman is not just a duty, but a privilege I cherish every single day. Your faith in my ability to deliver positive change for the Sacramento region fills me with renewed determination.

As we now set our sights on the general election, I know in my heart that with your continued support, we can achieve even greater things together. Your dedication to our cause fuels my passion to fight for our district's prosperity, well-being, and future.

For those of you who are new here, I wanted to give you a little background!

My political career began in 2005, after my late husband passed. To honor him, I ran for a special election and won. Since then, the people of Sacramento have elected me time and again due to my dedication to serving constituents and commitment to progressive values.

Throughout my tenure in Congress, I have proudly advocated for healthcare reform, environmental protection, and modernizing Sacramento’s flood infrastructure. I’ve also worked to boost innovation in our region by expanding clean energy in California and introducing legislation such as the CHIPs and Science Act that give a huge boost to our semiconductor industry. I am proud to be a leading Democrat in Congress!

So again, from the bottom of my heart, I want to express my deepest gratitude for standing by me through thick and thin. It is with immense honor and responsibility that I will continue to carry your voices to the halls of Congress.

With heartfelt appreciation,
Doris
