Help end Republican gerrymandering in Wisconsin.

Hey Swing Left,

In the last few weeks, I’ve watched as election after election was delayed, including several in our Super States. But some are still on. Here in Wisconsin, an important race may be flying under the national radar.

The Wisconsin Supreme Court election is next Tuesday, April 7th, and it’s a crucial election in the fight to end Republican gerrymandering. To help the progressive candidate win, we’re hosting a national call night this Wednesday, April 1st, from 4-8 PM CT to make sure voters have a plan to vote.

Don’t worry if you’ve never made calls before, or are a little behind on the state of the race. RSVP for our call night, and we’ll immediately send you all the information you need, including access to a full training. RSVP today.

The Badger State has some of the worst partisan gerrymandering in the country—the GOP regularly wins more seats, even when Democrats get more votes. That's allowed Republicans here to suppress the vote, massively cut education and health care, and attack reproductive rights. This court seat is a once-in-a-decade chance to help fix the maps.

With a divided government, disputes about district maps will likely be settled by state Supreme Court justices. This seat is currently held by an anti-choice, anti-public education, anti-voting rights conservative judge. We need to make sure the pro-democracy candidate, Judge Jill Karofsky, sits in this seat, not a Republican puppet who will uphold rigged maps.

This election looks a little different due to COVID-19, but we have a plan to win. Since all in-person voter contact activities are suspended, phone banking is the primary way to reach voters. And, to promote social distancing, we’re contacting voters early to help them vote by mail.

You can make calls from anywhere, any time between 4 PM CT and 8 PM CT on Wednesday. The most important thing is that every one of us does our part. The conditions of this race are unprecedented, and we can’t rely on regular voter turnout or others to do the work.

RSVP for a phone banking shift during Wednesday's call night and help ensure fair maps for the next decade.
