John, I’m so excited and humbled to announce that our campaign was successful in advancing to the general election.

The people of CA-31 know that we need real leaders in Congress. People who have poured their blood, sweat, and tears into public service. I’m proud to have devoted my life to my country – as a Navy veteran, a former Member of Congress, and a White House public servant.

And as someone who grew up working class, and as a racial minority – I know working people need a representative who is in their corner – not special interests’.

That’s why I’m thrilled to be one step closer to being CA-31’s next Congressman – and it wouldn’t be possible without YOU, John.

I’m going to keep fighting until November to make sure our campaign wins so we can bring our progressive agenda to Congress.
