John — Tyson claims to prioritize animal welfare and ensure environmental sustainability, but we know this is blatantly false. This corporation pollutes and allows chickens to be raised in abusive conditions, without regard for anything except its bottom line.

That's why we're suing Tyson.

Chip in right now to stop Tyson deceit.

John,

Tyson has been misleading consumers for years — so we’re suing them.1,2

For more than a decade Tyson Foods, Inc. has been falsely marketing and advertising its chicken products. They claim they “prioritize animal welfare” and are dedicated to “environmental stewardship and sustainability” when in reality they do nothing of the sort.

Tyson is one of the largest polluters in the U.S.3 and routinely allows chickens to be raised in abusive and environmentally harmful conditions, all while lying to the public about its practices. They need to be held accountable for their deceitful actions — that’s why we’re bringing them to court.

In 2014, Tyson dumped more than 20 million pounds of toxic pollutants into U.S. waterways; from 2013 to 2015 the company was guilty of more than 300 wastewater Clean Water Act permit violations, and its practices for chicken products include:

-
Routine use of anti-parasitic drugs;
-
Washing Tyson products with hazardous chemicals and disinfectants;
-
Injection of chicken eggs with formaldehyde;
-
Systemic animal cruelty, including inhumane treatment and abuse of chickens.

Any claims of environmental responsibility on Tyson’s part are utterly false.
