The House voted today on a bipartisan bill to break the link between the CCP and TikTok! This is a huge step forward to protecting our country from the influences of Big Tech and the Chinese government!

Terry Schilling, president of American Principles Project (APP), released the following statement cheering the bill’s passage:

“It is good to see that both parties can still agree on some obviously necessary actions. The influence of social media on our society—and especially our youngest generations—is undeniable at this point. It is insane that we would allow a foreign competitor like the Chinese Communist Party to have such significant control over a platform that shapes the views of so many Americans. Breaking the link between the CCP and powerful apps like TikTok is clearly in our nation’s best interest, and APP applauds the House for taking this important step. We also urge the Senate to take up and pass this bill as soon as possible.”
