Bernie said it best earlier this year: If a pro-Peace progressive even
speaks out for Palestinian human rights, they become a target of AIPAC’s
$100 million in right-wing dark money spending in 2024. Criticize
Netanyahu’s war in Gaza that has killed over 30,000 Palestinian civilians?
AIPAC is ready to spend millions against you.
This is not how a democracy should work. Right-wing special interests
should not be punishing progressives for speaking out for peace and human
rights.
That’s why Our Revolution has joined a coalition of progressive groups
calling on the Democratic Party to outright Reject AIPAC.

AIPAC, a right-wing special interest group that supports insurrectionists
and corporate Democrats, said it will spend $100 million this election
year against progressives who criticized Israel’s relentless bombing
campaigns against the Palestinian people in Gaza. That’s not right and has
no place in Democratic politics. Yet, corporate Democrats are continuing
to accept donations and support from AIPAC.
The Democratic voter base overwhelmingly supports an end to Netanyahu’s
brutal war in Gaza. We keep seeing that as hundreds of thousands of voters
have come out to vote Uncommitted in the Democratic presidential primary —
our movement’s effort to send a direct wake-up call to President Biden to
support a permanent ceasefire and realign with the coalition he needs to
beat Trump in November.
Progressive champions like Pramila Jayapal, Rashida Tlaib, Jamaal Bowman,
Ilhan Omar, AOC, Cori Bush, and others have bravely spoken out against
Israeli war crimes in Gaza. Now, AIPAC is readying their $100,000,000
against them in the 2024 election cycle.
AIPAC wants to unseat pro-Peace progressives so that there are no
remaining voices for Palestinian human rights in Congress. But we cannot
let that happen. Now is the time for the Democratic Party to Reject AIPAC
once and for all.
