We Must Defend Marriage, Family, and Moral Values

Over the past few decades, marriage has been misunderstood and misaligned with business, education, and politics.

Rather than being perceived as the foundation of a flourishing society, marriage has often become just another optional benefit for self-fulfillment.

According to a University of Texas study, fathers are linked to better outcomes on nearly every measure of a child's well-being: from cognitive development and educational achievement to self-esteem and pro-social behavior.

And statistically, children who grow up with involved fathers are 39% more likely to earn mostly A’s in school, 45% less likely to repeat a grade, 60% less likely to be suspended or expelled from school, twice as likely to go to college and find stable employment after high school, 75% less likely to have a teen birth, and 80% less likely to spend time in jail.

This is the current state of affairs of our nation because we’ve relegated religious and moral values to the private sphere.
