John,
More and more of us know what it’s like today to feel confined to small spaces, without the chance to be near friends and loved ones. We might not to be able to change that, but we can give other social creatures — primates who suffered so long in cages as tourist attractions — the chance to roam and play.
After we shut down the cruel Cricket Hollow Zoo, the courts entrusted us to relocate the 400-plus rescued animals to loving homes. To make sure these animals get the chance to live a happy, healthy life, we needed to build a new home for five of these special individuals.
We partnered with Born Free USA, an accredited sanctuary in Texas, on the construction of a new habitat for two macaques named Anna and Mrs. Wilkin, and three rescued baboons named Violet, Presley, and Marlin. Here, these once-abused animals will enjoy a new life, and Animal Legal Defense Fund supporters like you helped make it happen. |

Now, as they get much-needed care at Born Free USA and enjoy their new habitat, the baboons have been enjoying regular treats — especially peanuts. Mrs. Wilkin is eating oranges and carrots, and Anna likes monkey biscuits.
Please watch and share this short (~3 min) video and be proud of the impact you are making on the lives of rescued animals. Thank you again for giving animal victims of abuse the chance to live happy, healthy lives. |
For the animals,

P.S. After you watch the video, I encourage you to please forward this email to your animal-loving family and friends who could benefit from a little positivity in today’s uncertain times. Together, we can, and are, making a difference. |
