Michigan Advance: ‘Republicans have put the rights of a fertilized egg over the rights of the woman’

After the recent news of Alabama’s Supreme Court ruling that gave fertilized embryos the same rights as children, we are reminded of the extreme anti-choice views of Republicans in our own state.

Mike Rogers, who is running to fill Michigan’s open U.S. Senate seat, has an extensive anti-choice record. He co-sponsored legislation that would have the same effect as the Alabama Supreme Court’s IVF ruling.

Mike Rogers wants to rip away Michiganders’ freedom to make their own decisions. It’s up to us stop anti-health care and anti-healthcare extremists from representing Michigan in the U.S. Senate.
