Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month

Hi everyone,

April is Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month (SAAPM)! This is typically one of our busiest outreach months. This year, we're getting creative and going as digital as possible since we can't show up in person throughout the community like we normally do. Can you help?
The first Wednesday of the month is Start By Believing Day. The goal of this campaign is to prepare our fellow community members to respond supportively when someone says, "I was sexually assaulted." It also provides Doorways a critical opportunity to extend our reach as a resource to any survivors who may need support.
How you can help

PS – Here are three more ways to support survivors:
  1. Did you know...? Learn about the services Doorways offers survivors and tell at least three people about them (bonus: challenge them to tell three people, too!)
  2. Create a Facebook or Instagram fundraiser and ask your friends to donate in support of survivors
  3. Shop our Amazon wish list and send supplies to our clients
