That was the average donation from our community when we recently emailed about Florida Republicans attempting to lower the age for purchasing an AR-15 from 21 to 18 years old.

Well, here’s an update on what’s happened since then. Thanks to your support, the effort to roll back the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School Public Safety Act was defeated in the Florida Senate.

That’s the impact of your grassroots contributions, and we could not be more grateful. But this is just the first fight. We know that Republican legislators and governors like Ron DeSantis across the U.S. aren’t backing down. We need everyone invested in the fight.

We just proved again that we can win. We can stop them.
