Hi John,

This government has failed us. They’ve stood by while 70,000 people have died since 2013.

That’s 58 people per day during winter. Tens of thousands of lives lost because of cold, damp homes, a direct result of government neglect. [1]

These deaths were not an act of nature, but a result of government failure. Together, we can make sure it never happens again.

Be part of a movement pushing politicians to act

Today, we built a cemetery outside the doors of parliament made of the very insulation that could have helped to save tens of thousands of lives.

Over the past ten years, consecutive Conservative governments have slashed support for “the green crap”, as David Cameron called it in 2013. [2] Many of our homes are leaky and inefficient, wasting energy and pumping out climate-wrecking emissions.

Faced with extortionate energy bills, households across the country have been made to choose between eating and heating. Families have fallen into fuel poverty. Millions have been left out in the cold. [3]

We urgently need a government willing to invest in home insulation and prevent future loss of life, cut our cost of living and clean up our air. With an election on the horizon and political parties gearing up to win votes, we have an opportunity to push politicians to end this crisis once and for all. Will you join us?

Once you’ve signed up, we’ll keep you updated with ways you can help us build the pressure on political parties ahead of the election and beyond to deliver solutions to the crises we face.

There’s a long road ahead, but this is a crucial chance to secure meaningful climate action this decade. The more support we have, the bigger we can grow the movement.

Thanks for everything you do,

Prishita
