Message From The
President
Happy Women's History Month! The New Jersey Young Democrats
is proud to celebrate the contributions and outstanding achievements
of women. Every day, women demonstrate their resilience by breaking
barriers despite the obstacles we face. As we continue in the ongoing
fight for an equal and just world, we must recognize how far we have
come and how far we still have to go. With the contributions of women
in our past and present, we are one step closer to real progress in
this country.
As the inconquerable Coretta Scott King stated, "The woman
power of this nation can be the power which makes us whole and heals
the rotten community, now so shattered by war and poverty and racism.
I have great faith in the power of women who will dedicate themselves
wholeheartedly to the task of remaking our society."
Yours in
action, President
Fatima Heyward

Congratulations to our March Young Dem of the
Month, Kasiphia Andrews! Kasiphia currently serves as our amazing
NJYD Finance Director. Hailing from Edison, NJ, she embarked on a
path of community service in 2012, advocating against the silent
threat of Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM) in children with a local
Non-Profit organization.
Kasiphia graduated from
Seton Hall University with a degree in Political Science and History.
While there, she proudly represented the EOP (Equal Opportunity
Program) Scholar community and actively contributed to the Black
Student Union during college. Her dedication to public service led to
the role of District Field Representative for Congressman Frank
Pallone Jr., providing invaluable assistance to constituents
navigating federal agencies during the challenging times of the
COVID-19 Pandemic.
Currently, she serves as a
Paralegal at Rebenack, Aronow & Mascolo L.L.P., specializing in
Plaintiff Personal Injury. There, she handles cases related to
commercial motor vehicle accidents, trucking accidents, product
liability, and wrongful death.
During election seasons, she
is notable for her role as a Supervised Poll Worker for the Middlesex
County Board of Elections, ensuring that every voter has a pleasant
voting experience and is well-informed about their rights as
citizens.
With a background deeply rooted in
community service, political engagement, and a commitment to justice,
Kasiphia is a shining example of leadership and dedication.
Join us in applauding her achievements and thanking her for
her unwavering commitment to making a positive impact in our
community!
