As of this month, Walgreens and CVS announced that they’ll begin distributing the abortion pill mifepristone at their pharmacies. This is a meaningful step to increasing access to reproductive health care for women across the country.

John, this is a win, but there’s still work to do — because pharmacies aren't yet dispensing mifepristone in all states where it is legal to do so. We have to work together to urge CVS and Walgreens to further expand mifepristone access!

Abortion access is on the line, and Roy is fighting back!

Earlier this month, pharmacy giant Walgreens made a decision that could hurt women’s reproductive rights and their health.

The chain agreed to withhold mifepristone (a key medication used in the most common form of abortion care) from the shelves in certain states, including some where abortion remains legal, after threats from GOP attorneys general.

But Roy’s not standing for it.

Roy and other Democratic governors wrote a letter to demand Walgreens and other pharmacies to show their plans and follow the science on mifepristone — a safe, effective medication that has been available for more than two decades.
