Angel Gowns

Gifts of all kinds can be used for ministry. Diane Wright, a lay member at Grandview UMC in Kansas City, is a skilled seamstress. Ten years ago her granddaughter identified a way her gifts could be used for ministry. In the past 10 years, Wright has repurposed 626 wedding dresses into almost 6,000 Angel Gowns, burial gowns for stillborn infants that are made from old wedding dresses. Missouri United Methodist Churches can apply for funds through several grant programs supporting local ministry projects. We encourage you to apply for multiple grant opportunities.
