Hi John,

Like a lot of folks, I tuned in to President Biden's State of the Union Address last night. If you missed it, here's a quick recap:

1️⃣ President Biden directly called out those who've downplayed the seriousness of the Capitol riots on January 6 – including Trump!
2️⃣ He called on Republicans to protect our right to our own family-planning choices, demanding that they "guarantee the right to IVF nationwide."
3️⃣ He urged Congress to pass an assault weapons and high-capacity magazine ban, while also requiring universal background checks when purchasing a gun.

I'm happy to see the President continue to prioritize a people-first agenda, and as someone who hopes to be a strong voice for the American people in Congress, I'm glad to see that we're fighting for similar things.

But besides these issues, I'm running in Southeast Michigan to prioritize our kids' safety.

My son was a freshman in high school when a shooter opened fire and killed 4 of his classmates. And while things have been done here in Michigan to prevent tragedies like this one from happening again, we've yet to see any real progress be made in Congress.

That could all change this year. My team and I are working hard to flip this district from red to blue and unseat extremist John James, who continues to sell his vote to the highest bidder.

But we can't do this alone. Moving forward, we're relying on the generosity of grassroots donors to connect with voters, share my story, and expand our budget for essential campaign materials – that's why your support is so important.

I'm reaching out personally to ask: will you join my team and support my pro-safety campaign for Congress with a donation of any amount you can spare?
