Dear Tides Partner,
Our democracy is in a precarious moment, and philanthropy must act now.
Early resources — especially general operating funds — are essential for pro-democracy organizations to plan confidently, hire and train staff, and start educating and organizing voters. Unfortunately, for many organizations championing democracy, their funding comes in too late.
That’s why we’ve joined the All by April campaign. More than 130 philanthropic organizations have committed to prioritize democracy-related charitable funding by April.[1] Tides’ own Healthy Democracy Fund is committing to granting out 80% of our funds by April 30.
