*OJJDP Recognizes AmeriCorps Week 2024*

Celebrate AmeriCorps Week March 11-15

Join OJJDP in celebrating AmeriCorps Week, March 10 to 16 [ [link removed] ]. Each year, we honor AmeriCorps members and AmeriCorps Seniors volunteers who make a difference in their communities. This year's theme is "AmeriCorps is not a moment, it?s a movement".

AmeriCorps [ [link removed] ], the federal agency for national service and volunteerism,?provides opportunities for individuals to serve and address the nation?s most pressing challenges, to include supporting youth involved in the juvenile justice system.

We encourage you to participate in this week-long celebration by recognizing, promoting, and engaging with AmeriCorps? programs, members, and volunteers. Here?s how:


* *Recognize*: Share videos, photos, and posts on social media giving #AmeriThanks. Don?t forget to tag @AmeriCorps and use the hashtag #AmeriCorpsWeek.?
* *Promote*: Share AmeriCorps' impact through op-eds, letters to the editor, social media, or other communications channels.
* *Engage*: Invite community leaders to spend time with national service programs, members, and volunteers.
