JOHN –
When I was a kid, my dad would wake me up early in the morning to open our family store with him.
I would rub my eyes and grumble about the day's work ahead, but as I look back, I realize that working alongside him taught me something important. I'd like to share more with you if you have a moment, but if not – all I ask is that you chip in any amount to support our battleground campaign in MI-10.
In our family store, we took immense pride in being able to provide for familiar faces across our community – every day of the week brought in its rotating crew. Work wouldn't end until the store was packed up and tidied (I certainly tested my father's patience with this rule as a kid!)
It wasn't anything other than hard work for me back then, but these memories serve an entirely different purpose for me today. I not only get to cherish the moments I had working alongside my father, but I recognize that it's what taught me that hard work is always worth it if it means serving your community.
Work at the shop wasn't easy for my family, but it was immensely rewarding.
My dad instilled life lessons that would go on to inspire me to become a prosecutor and eventually a judge. I became passionate about building a better future for our state, and with that, believing that everyone deserves a fair shot in life, not just a lucky few.
But these days, it feels like far-right politicians like my opponent, John James, have forgotten that lesson. He's left Michigan, our Great Lakes, and working families behind in the dust. That's why I'm running to give Michiganders a fresh sense of hope and new leadership.
You have my word that I'll wake up every day with the concerns of Michiganders on my mind, and the resolve to fight for the issues they care deeply about. This election will be one of the toughest in the country, and our campaign can't do this without your support. Can you chip in any amount right now?
