| My commitment is to you, Fellow American. As the proud representative of Michigan's 5th congressional district, I am committed to doing my part in helping individuals like you succeed. I will continue to fight to keep America a pillar of freedom and hope in the world. Prior to Congress, I worked tirelessly as a community foundation leader, manager in higher education, and pastor. It was my mission to encourage each person along the way to use their God-given gifts to care for their families, reach for their dreams, and help their community.
