John —

It's time Congress calls for an immediate and sustained ceasefire in Gaza. Gaza is now the deadliest place for civilians in the world.

It's time to end the suffering. I hope you'll take a few minutes today to contact your congress members to urge them to call for an immediate and sustained ceasefire. >>

An immediate and sustained ceasefire would protect Palestinians from further harm, enable the release of all hostages, allow essential assistance to be provided to people across the whole of Gaza, and ensure protection of civilians under International Humanitarian Law.

While the entire population of over 2 million Palestinians is facing acute food insecurity, 576,000 people in Gaza are now estimated to be experiencing catastrophic levels of hunger. Gaza is headed towards famine without urgent action. Palestinians in Gaza—including young children—are already reported to be dying from starvation. Children in Gaza are becoming acutely malnourished at the fastest rate that the world has ever seen.

If there is no ceasefire, 58,000 additional deaths are projected in Gaza over the next six months. Airdrops—or a new pier that could take weeks to construct—are not a solution. An immediate and sustained ceasefire is the only solution.

The only sustainable way to protect civilian lives in Gaza is an immediate and sustained ceasefire. John, with the safety of civilians hanging in the balance, will you join me in taking action today? >>
