We partnered with Next City to uplift innovative solutions

John,

It’s no secret that mainstream banking isn’t working for all of us. Inflation, debt, and rising interest rates are just some of the hurdles we face. However, it's important to acknowledge that blaming specific institutions only scratches the surface—the real issue lies within our flawed system.

Yet, amidst these challenges, there's a growing interest in establishing organizations that can empower communities to create wealth. These community-level solutions, tailored to address the problems in our banking system, offer promising pathways for change. They require our attention, involvement, and financial support to effectively challenge our traditional, extractive banking systems.

That’s why we’ve partnered with Next City to tell these stories in an e-book, Banking for the People, released on the anniversary of the turbulent week marking the banking crisis of 2023. ([link removed])
