Dear John:

The legal freeze on fundraising during the legislative session is over! (For the lucky ones who have blocked the painful memory, that picture is Arnold Schwarzenegger as Mr. Freeze in Batman and Robin, 1997).

No doubt you haven't missed the nonstop solicitations. I don't blame you.

But time did march on during the freeze. My opponents continued to raise funds (the law only restricts office holders). And I even had a third opponent announce against me.

I love this work. I am so grateful to be in a position where I can put my shoulder to the wheel on issues like housing, and the push for more civility in the public square, and fighting for a sustainable environment.

So, as our campaign is now able to gear up since the freeze has ended, would you please help us get it kick started again?
