We’ve got a big announcement to make: this month, we’re joining with MoveOn, Need to Impeach, Stand Up America, and other partner organizations on Impeachment August, a major joint initiative across the progressive movement to pressure our Members of Congress on impeachment. 

Our ask is simple: we need Indivisibles and activists nationwide to show up while Members of Congress are home for the August recess and demand that they uphold their oath and duty to the Constitution and publicly support a formal impeachment inquiry. 

After far too long, a majority of House Democrats finally support moving forward with impeachment proceedings against Donald Trump. That’s a significant landmark, but it’s not enough. It’s clear from Bob Mueller’s investigation and testimony, and the public record that Donald Trump has no business in the White House. After everything we know Trump and his administration did to violate the rule of law during the campaign and since taking office, it's a disgrace that not every Democrat publicly supports impeachment.

This shouldn’t be difficult. Trump shouldn’t be in the White House. What are Democrats waiting for? 

They’re waiting to hear from you, and August recess is the perfect time to hold your Member of Congress accountable.

So here’s what we need you to do:

• Visit the Impeachment August website. On it, you can find or create an event, download talking points and social media graphics, and look up tips for making your visit a success.
• Show up at an event. As of today, a majority of House Democrats support an inquiry -- but we need many, many more to speak out to guarantee that our democracy works the way it’s supposed to. We need you to attend an event (scroll up to find one) -- or lead your own.
• Spread the word. Bring your friends to the event, share photos on your social media, and tell folks you know and other Indivisibles in your group about Impeachment August and what we’re doing. Our power is in our numbers, and we need big numbers to get Impeachment moving.
• Bonus: Donate to support Indivisible Action. Don’t do this instead of #1-3 but if you can, please also consider making a donation to support Indivisible Action. For this project alone, we’re spending thousands of dollars on things like the event map -- so if you can donate to help support this and all our work, we’d really appreciate it!

Our representatives need to uphold their oath to the constitution by publicly declaring their support for impeachment. They need to send the message that no one is above the law, not even the President of the United States.
