John,
This is Alexander Deatrick, campaign manager for Arati Kreibich for Congress.
I’ll be honest -- our campaign was caught off-guard by coronavirus.
Our grassroots campaign relied heavily on door-to-door canvassing to have authentic conversations with thousands of voters about Medicare for All, solving the climate crisis, and Wall Street reform. To ensure the safety of our communities and volunteers, we cancelled all in-person events over two weeks ago.
But our volunteers have stepped up, making tens of thousands of calls from home.
We also expect and are encouraging a surge in voting by mail. That means that more votes will be cast earlier and we need to start digital ads as soon as just a few weeks.
One thing we will NEVER change: we will always refuse every dime of corporate PAC money.
$20 can reach over 1,000 voters with online advertising. Please help our campaign start advertising sooner by donating ahead of our end-of-quarter deadline.
Donald Trump asked his son-in-law to research coronavirus and put politicians instead of scientists in charge of the coronavirus response. We are resolved more than ever to elect progressive scientists like Arati who will put facts first.
And we’re seeing how fragile our social safety net is. We need progressive leaders who will fight for Medicare for All, paid sick and family days, and expanded Social Security so American families can weather crises like this.
That’s why our team believes in Arati.
We will still face an onslaught of millions of dollars opposing us from corporate PACs. But standing together, we’ll be ready as we pivot to phoning from home and more paid advertising.
Thanks for your support.
