Hello -- As you might have heard by now, our campaign is preparing for long term social distancing by mobilizing a strong digital program. It's one of many choices we're making to stay safe but also keep our efforts to defeat Joni Ernst in November going. It's been an interesting change of pace, and it's certainly not the campaign I envisioned at this point in the cycle. I've been holding daily live streams on Facebook which we're calling "In the Cage" to keep Iowans and friends of the campaign informed on news and up-to-date on campaign activities. When we're not engaging with folks online, I'm on the phone with friends, supporters, family, and Iowans to check in on how they're doing. It's all giving me a lot to think about, and I'm more convinced than ever that Iowans deserve better than Joni Ernst in this crisis. But I've yet to hear from a lot of the grassroots donors that have made so much of this transition possible. Which is why I'm going to call dozens of grassroots donors who pitch in before March is over. We're still $10,981 short of our end-of-quarter goal. Can you chip in $3 or more to close the gap? If you do, stay by the phone, because I'll be making as many thank you calls as possible to grassroots donors who can help us get the job done! If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:
We're a people-powered campaign, through and through. And right now, in the face of the first quarter deadline tomorrow night, I'm asking for your support again. If you can help, I'll try to give you a call as soon as I can. We can talk about politics, coronavirus, what you've been cooking during self-isolation, baseball (my favorite), or really anything you'd like! I'd certainly relish the conversation while we continue practicing social distancing. Chip in whatever you can afford to help us meet our end-of-quarter goals, and make sure you include a good number to reach you by. Stay safe and keep your chin up, Eddie Mauro | ||||||
