Some smaller Pittsburgh cat rescues have expressed concern about the leading shelter, Humane Animal Rescue of Pittsburgh, for its stray release approach.
Unlike feral cats that can be most comfortable in the wild, stray cats are often socialized and can live indoors. HARP has recently been critiqued for releasing certain cats ([link removed]) after a post about one such furry friend created a stir online.
