All the votes have not yet been counted, but the decision of Orange County voters is clear. I respect their choice.

I am beyond grateful to my supporters, my team and my family for the tireless hours they poured into our campaign over the past year and for the faith and trust they put in me. It has been an honor of a lifetime to fight for them, represent our community, and talk openly about the issues that really matter. Every living room gathering, every door knock, every phone call, and every coffee in the park was worth it. I loved every minute of campaigning for a better Orange County and could not have done it without the thousands I met along the way.

We did not have the deep pockets and outside establishment support of our opponents, but we built a serious campaign fueled entirely by grassroots voters in Orange County. While we came up short, the results show that the grassroots voters are sick and tired of the status quo in Washington and hungry for bold leadership to represent us in Congress and locally.

I called Scott Baugh this past weekend to congratulate him on advancing to the general election and I hope he wins in November. The road to an America First Republican majority in Congress runs through our District. We have to elect strong conservative leaders up and down the ballot in Orange County and across the country. Our community and country are worth fighting for. Do not relent.

As for me, I am looking forward to soon taking on what will be the greatest opportunity of my lifetime: being a Dad. Thank you and God bless you.
